Dean Potter, El Capitan Climber

World reknown climber Dean Potter makes his way up the Great Roof on El Capitan on Mon., Nov. 15, 2010. Potter and climbing partner Sean Leary set the record for the fastest ascent of El Capitan at 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 45 seconds. Today's attempt fell short of the record by about 3 minutes with a time of 2:39:49. Potter and Leary said they were going to make more attempts at besting their record.
